Lorin Jimenez,

I am a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor in DC and Maryland. I graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelors in Psychology. After a short break while I built my family and focused on my personal passions, I went on to attain my Masters of Science in
Marriage, Couples, and Family Counseling from Walden University.

As an enthusiastic and goal-oriented therapist, working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families as they explore and re-write their personal narrative energizes me. I use an eclectic approach composed of Cognitive-Behavioral, Narrative, and Solution-Focused
interventions. Most importantly, I strongly believe in working with you to discover which proven approach best fits your needs and personality.

We will set personalized and achievable goals and work step-by-step towards them together as a team.  As a therapist, I strive to create a safe and comfortable environment to explore the trials you are facing in your life, even when they feel unsurmountable. I trust the value and impact of systems in our lives. We will explore the systems in your life and how they have uniquely impacted your personal outlook and the life story you tell yourself and others.

In session, I am highly adaptable, intentional, and invested. My person-centered style allows you to go where you are ready to go when you are ready to go there. And I will support and encourage you as you challenge and push yourself along the way. I look forward to walking with you as your write the next chapter in your story.
