I believe in validating and honoring every part of who you are. While my academic and clinical training prepared me to specialize in working with couples and families, I also have a rich understanding for helping individuals navigate the intricate parts of their lives. My clinical approach focuses on increasing one’s sense of self-awareness, nurturing the ability to process emotional experiences, and encouraging choices that make one feel empowered in their life. With this approach, I have helped support those who have experienced many forms of trauma, mood/personality disorders, relationship conflict, issues pertaining to gender and sexuality, and many other presenting concerns.
I am trained to use several therapeutic models, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Experiential Therapy, etc., I foremost believe in tailoring therapy to fit the unique needs and desires of each and every client. As your therapist, my first and most important role is to create an environment where you feel welcomed, safe and supported.
In our sessions, you can expect that I will spend a lot of time engaging in stimulating conversation that helps me to learn who you are, how you show up in the world, and what path(s) to take in helping you achieve your goals and desirable outcomes. As your therapist, you can expect for me to be actively present with you, while encouraging and supporting you along the journey of creating the life you desire. For it is my belief, that all people have the right to have lives that are healthy, meaningful and fulfilled.
